Get summer ready at our health clubs

With summer around the corner, we might find ourselves stressing about the swimwear season. The effects of those skipped gym classes and cosy winter foods are showing, and maybe you not yet rock the confidence to switch from sweaters to tees and shorts. It  take some effort to get back into last year’s shape, but… luckily, we are all in this together.

You might be interested to know; while staying at some of our properties, you can make use of our fully equipped, professional gyms and luxury pools. We guarantee you’ll run out of excuses!

We feel pretty proud of our health clubs in the New Amsterdam, New Orleans and Hoge Duin properties. The first two include a sauna, pool and gym, and the Hoge Duin property rocks a gym (good enough to impress any fanatic!). It’s accessible to our business travellers around the clock and is located within the building, so all you need to do is take the elevator.

You’ll reach your goals fast with the gym right outside of your door. What then? How about hitting the beach to show it off? We’ve listed the best Dutch beaches below for inspiration:

Zandvoort aan Zee

The weekend getaway for Amsterdammers. If you’re travelling from the capital, this beach is only 30 minutes away by car or train. It consists of wide stretches of sand located right next to Zuid-Kennemerland National Park (perfect for nature walks in the dunes). You can rent a sun lounge chair, take on a surfing class, or just relax at the cocktail bar.

Bloemendaal aan Zee

A must-see for dune-lovers and those who appreciate a hip cocktail bar or beach club. A great place to visit both during the day and on weekend evenings. Right next to Zandvoort aan Zee, so you can easily walk along the shore from one beach to the other.

Scheveningen

Good luck with the pronunciation! The name was used to identify war spies during WWII. No wonder... Not far from The Hague, you’ll find the country’s most popular and widest beach located next to a former fishing village. The pier and the fancy Kurhaus hotel are some great attractions to see.

Egmond aan Zee

This may not be the most popular place to show your summer body, but we’ll recommend it anyway ;) The beach is next to an old fishing village and has its own lighthouse. You can often spot wild horses grazing in its proximity. Perfect for a swim or a stroll, and the ideal postcard photo.

For those of you who want to work for it, see you at the health clubs soon, you got this! And remember; regardless of what you look like, you’ll rock it this summer :)
